Join us, as Ashley leads us creating a tangible symbol to remind us to give thanks to God for the blessings we receive.

Activity:  Come learn the history of the Disciples Women Blessing Box.

We will create a blessing box and conclude with worship and receive a Blessing Box offering.

50% of the offering will stay to support the DW Ministries in MI, IL and WI.

Event Leaders

Ashley Balogh

Ashley is a familiar face for many in the Christian Church Michigan Region where she has served as a cook for over twenty years at Crystal Conference Center. Growing up in a Disciple of Christ family, while in college Ashley she spent a few of her summers as an assistant cook at Crystal Conference Center. She finished her degree in Fine Arts in May of 2012 and been working as an art teacher for over 10 years. She became the head cook at Crystal Conference Center in 2022. When not working she enjoys reading, crocheting and kayaking in the summer.

Beth Rupe

Rev. Dr. Beth Rupe serves as Senior Minister of First Christian Church in Henry, IL and the CCIW Coordinator of Disciples Women. Before being ordained, Beth worked for a decade as a psychotherapist at community mental health center. Beth married her high school sweetheart, Mark, 47 years ago, and they have two children, two granddaughters, and a labradoodle. Her hobbies include reading, cooking and gardening. She practices mindfulness and contemplative prayer and feels called to work for justice. She enjoys travel and time with family and friends.
