Christmas Greetings

By December 18, 2014No Comments

“Joy to the world, the Lord has come…” This quote from my favorite Christmas Carol captures the reason for the season. “For God so loved the world, that He gave his only Son…” (John 3:16) The time spent with our loved ones from near and far seems extra special this time of year. Giving and receiving gifts, enjoying sumptuous meals, savoring favorite libations, enjoying special moments with a significant other, and for some of us the football games, make for an enjoyable time.

Remember those whose feelings during the many festivities occurring are far from pleasant because of illness, incarceration, absence, separation, estrangement, or death of friends or family. Remember those whose joy is elusive or even absent due the lack of money, food, clothing, or shelter. Be aware of opportunities to share, give service, and make a difference in the lives of those in need.

Please continue in prayer for our Administrative Assistant Beverly Peeler, her daughter Lauren, and the family. Your prayers and support are greatly appreciated.

As a reminder, the Regional office will close December 24, reopening January 5, 2015. Have a blessed Christmas and may you enter the New Year with a renewed commitment to the Christ we celebrate and to the mission he has given us.

Joyfully yours,
Eugene James, Regional Minister
